Displays semithin sections of the gill arch of the Ruby-Red-Fin Shark, also known as the Rainbow Shark (Epalzeorhynchos frenatum), which belongs to the Teleostei: Cyprinidae family. The epithelia of the gill arch contained goblet cells, chloride cells, and pavement cells. Goblet cells exhibit a high concentration of metachromatic mucus production. The pavement cells had apical striations, which correspond to microvilli. The chloride cells possess cytoplasm with granules and mitochondria
